1. Course objectives

This course is designed to help students:

  • Gain experiences to achieve high scores in the VLPT
  • Analyze common mistakes in the previous exams.
  • Be introduced to the exam structure and the grading scale for each section.
  • Be instructed on how to properly allocate time for each exam.
  • Focus on practicing two skills of Speaking and Writing which are considered the most difficult in the VLPT.
  • Have the opportunity to take sample tests and get teachers to comment on the strengths and weaknesses of each student.
  • Revise familiar language structures.
  • Revise basic words to meet specific communication needs.
  • Revise self- introduction and introducing others.
  • Revise how to present information about themselves such as: where they live, relatives, friends, …
  • Revise to communicate simply if the interlocutor speaks slowly, clearly and is willing to cooperate and help.

  • Number of periods: 40 (2 periods/day; 1 month/course)

  • Students who have completed VSL1 (equivalent to 160 periods)
