1. Course objectives
This course is designed to help students:
- Revise reading skills to understand the main ideas of a relatively complex text on a variety of topics, including discussions in their own area of expertise.
- Revise speaking skills to communicate naturally and fluently with Vietnamese people.
- Revise writing skills to produce clear, detailed texts on a variety of topics and state their point of view on an issue.
- Point out the advantages and disadvantages of different options.
- Recognize and understand the implications of long, wide-ranging texts. Able to express fluently, immediately, without difficulty in finding words to express.
- Be guided about tips to achieve high scores in the VLPT
- Analyze common mistakes that students often make in previous exams.
- Be introduced to the exam structure and grading scale for each section.
- Be instructed on how to properly allocate time for each exam.
- Focus on practicing two skills of Speaking and Writing which are considered the most difficult in the VLPT.
- Help students have the opportunity to take sample tests and have teachers give feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of each student.
