1. Course objectives

This course is designed to help students:

• Revise commonly used sentences and language structures related to basic communication needs such as: information about family, self, buying and selling, asking for directions, job…
• Revise how to exchange information on simple, familiar everyday topics.
• Revise to describe in simple terms about themselves, their surroundings, and issues of basic need.
• Be guided about tips to achieve high scores in the VLPT
• Analyze common mistakes that students often make in past competency exams.
• Be introduced to the exam structure and the grading scale for each section.
• Be instructed on how to properly allocate time for each exam.
• Focus on practicing two skills of Speaking and Writing which are considered the most difficult in the VLPT.
• Have the opportunity to take sample tests and get teachers to comment on the strengths and weaknesses of each student.

• Number of periods: 40 (2 periods/day; 1 month/course)

• Students who have completed VSL2 (equivalent to 320 periods)
